HIKKY to host Japan’s Record-Breaking Virtual Event “Virtual Market 2025 Summer” This July

Over 1.2 Million Global Attendees: Now Accepting Exhibition Applications from Individual Creators Starting April 7

HIKKY Co., Ltd. is now accepting exhibition applications from individual creators for the upcoming Virtual Market 2025 Summer. Virtual Market 2025 Summer is the 14th event of the world’s largest virtual reality (VR) event and a four-time Guinness World Records™ holder, hosted in the VR social platform “VRChat.” This event will run from July 12 to July 27, 2025, which over 1.2 million participants worldwide are expected to visit as from previous event records.

First launched in 2018, Virtual Market (also known as Vket) is a bi-annual event where individual creators, corporations, and organizations showcase and sell 3D models, avatars, digital products, and branded virtual experiences in immersive virtual venues. Each event attracts participation from over 1,000 independent creators and a wide range of companies/organizations from various industries.

Creator Exhibition Opportunities at Vket2025 Summer

This year, Vket will feature a total of 14 immersive virtual worlds designed specifically for individual exhibitors:

12 PC Worlds (across 6 unique design concepts)
2 Cross-Platform Worlds (compatible with standalone VR headsets and Android devices, and also with PCVR devices)

Three types of exhibition formats will be open for creators: the “Space Exhibition,” the “Item Exhibition,” and the “Avatar Exhibition.”

Theme: Key of Discovery

The theme for Virtual Market 2025 Summer is “Key of Discovery”, symbolizing the act of unlocking new possibilities, futures, and creative encounters. Vket continues to evolve beyond 3D modeling, aiming to co-create with a broader and more diverse pool of digital creators.

In line with this vision, a new “Avatar Exhibition” plan will be introduced in the Cross-Platform venue, offering an optimized experience for users on standalone VR headsets (Meta Quest series, etc.).

Previously, standalone VR users faced challenges using downloaded items on VRChat due to the need for PC and Unity-based setups. To solve this issue, Vket will actively implement VRChat’s in-world avatar change functionality (avatar pedestals), allowing users to seamlessly wear and enjoy avatars directly within the Quest-compatible worlds.*

*Uploading avatars purchased on external websites to VRChat will require a PC and Unity environment.

*Cross-Platform Venues are accessible via VRChat-compatible standalone headsets, Android devices, and PCVR devices / Desktop PCs.
