HIKKY’s Virtual Market Joins as First Avatar Publishers in VRChat’s New Avatar Marketplace

New Marketplace to be exclusively featured on Vket2025 Winter's venue

HIKKY Co., Ltd. announces its debut as one of the first companies to publish avatars on VRChat’s new Avatar Marketplace, which has been released as open beta today. With this initiative, HIKKY aims to expand opportunities for providing high-quality, easily accessible avatars from Virtual Market (also known as Vket) and MOKURI project to all VRChat users.

Starting this May, HIKKY will release a lineup of fan-favorite avatars from both Virtual Market and the MOKURI project. From Virtual Market, key mascots “VketChan 01” and “VketChan 02” will have outfit variants sold as an avatar. VketChan 01 comes with two outfit variations: Summer, and Maid style, added with VketChan 02 in a Yukata style. All of these variants were previously offered for sale back in 2021 at "Virtual Market 6."

From the Mokuri Project, previously released avatars such as Hochumi, Miminomi, Janorne, and Xiefu will be featured at a new in-VRChat exclusive price.

Aside from the conventional avatar purchasing method which required users to download an avatar file from an external online marketplace to upload via VRChat’s SDK, the new Avatar Marketplace allows users to try on avatars directly within VRChat regardless of hardware, and purchase them using VRChat Credits to immediately begin using them.

In response to the launch of the Avatar Marketplace, Virtual Market plans to introduce an exclusive in-VRChat venue at the upcoming "Virtual Market 2025 Winter," featuring avatars sold through the Avatar Marketplace.
In this venue, visitors may try-on and purchase avatars from the Avatar Marketplace on the spot, and even enjoy exploring the rest of Virtual Market in their obtained avatars.
