Intel Partners with Indie Creators in VRChat for Virtual Market 2025 Summer Debut

Intel Makes its First Appearance at world's largest in-VR Event, Forms "Team Intel" with Top Indie Creators

Intel Corporation, one of the world's leading semiconductor manufacturers, will make its debut at Virtual Market 2025 Summer scheduled from July 12, 2025 by HIKKY Co., Ltd.

Intel has formed a creator team named "Team Intel" for developing a VR exhibition: together with creators who have been creating virtual worlds centered around VRChat, Intel will produce and showcase an original booth that leverages the unique expressive power of virtual spaces.

From "Inside the PC" to Partners Walking Alongside Creators

Intel has supported users' creativity and challenges through the development and manufacturing of CPUs, GPUs, AI accelerators, and other technologies.
In 2022, the company launched the Blue Community Project to support PC gaming culture and gamers, followed by the Blue Carpet Project for creators in 2023.

Intel's 1st exhibition at Virtual Market 2025 Summer inherits Intel's longstanding mission of "supporting people who utilize Windows PCs," while walking alongside active creators in the creative field from the same perspective.
This exhibition will serve as a venue to demonstrate Intel's commitment to deeply engaging in creative activities unique to virtual spaces, accompanying creators from the planning stage.

"Team Intel" Resonates with Virtual Creators

Intel has partnered with HIKKY, the host of Virtual Market 2025 Summer, to form a team with eight creators active on the front lines of the VR scene - named as "Team Intel."

Top runners in each field—modeling, direction, sound, art, and more—are combining their skills to design and create a wonderland-like booth that anyone can enjoy, depicting Intel's past and future.

The production site, where Intel directors participate alongside creators, is a place where various ideas overlap, and improvements continue day and night.

Throughout this creation, Intel intends to shift from being a simple hardware provider to becoming a "co-creation partner," engaging in a new world of creativity.

Comments from Team Intel Members

Nagomi (Director): "Intel has become an indispensable presence for us today. I'm happy to be involved in creating a booth for such a company. With Team Intel gathering members full of personality, I'm confident we can create something great!"

VR Sobaya Tanabe (Main Modeler): "I've been using Intel since my first computer. It's truly an honor to be involved in this production. I want to create an interesting and cool booth together with this amazing production team!!"

Nullmoto (Background Modeler): "I'm very excited to participate in this new initiative at Vket! I've been in charge of world creation for Vket before, so I'm nervous about my first corporate booth production!"

bironist (Gimmick Creator): "I love creating playable gimmicks and toys, focusing on tactile experiences that take advantage of VR. I'm currently working on creating a booth that's not just for viewing, but one that makes you want to touch it, expressing interactive satisfaction!"

Blackburn (Particle Creator): "My first big project in life! It's an honor to create alongside the creators I've admired! I'll deliver an amazing experience with particle effects that will surprise you, so please look forward to it!"

FeriaEX (also known as くっしーEX, Sound Creator): "I believe audio is what can make users' experiences better. I want to support the experience through audio so that visitors can say 'that scene was good' about at least one moment."

ATkeynote (also known as AT基調, Designer): "This is almost my first attempt at full-scale visual design in VR space, and it's for Intel... I'm trembling thinking 'this is serious,' but if we're going to do it, let's go all out with maximum impact! I want to draw a booth that will definitely leave an impression on everyone! 🔥"

orange (Engineer): "I love the magic that connects real and VR! 🤩 This time too, we'll provide a surprising experience with spatial reproduction displays! 🤯✨️ Please come visit the exciting Intel booth! Double the fun!! ✌️"

AI Accelerates Creators' Creativity

AI has proven effective in business scenarios and has become indispensable in the world of software engineering, including program generation.
AI has also been effectively utilized in the world of expression. As AI becomes more accessible, here are comments from Team Intel creators on how they perceive it:

Nullmoto: "In video production, AI is increasingly used for blurring and removing pedestrians and license plates. By having AI handle these time-consuming manual processes, we can allocate more resources to parts that require creativity. As AI technology advances further, I think the role distribution in production sites will change fundamentally. Personally, I'm more interested in utilizing AI integrated into game and app systems rather than as a 'production tool.' As an example that seems immediately feasible, simulation games like the 'AI character raising' games of the past could become experiences with much higher degrees of freedom using the latest AI technology. If natural conversations with raised characters become possible, it would become even more dreamlike content."

bironist: "Currently, support for AI processing in local environments is steadily progressing in OS and applications. I have very high expectations for the possibilities that NPUs bring. The emergence of NPU-equipped processors like Core Ultra is very exciting as a first step toward that future. Just as GPUs once appeared and dramatically evolved PC and game graphics, creating new expressions one after another, I think it would be wonderful if NPUs now evolve AI and create unprecedented PC and gaming experiences. (I also had AI proofread this text after writing it myself.)"

Blackburn: "I think it would be very helpful to get objective opinions on creative work, from model and direction idea generation. With the spread of AI and high-performance PCs, situations where full performance cannot be achieved due to insufficient personnel or resources will disappear, enabling higher quality manufacturing."

FeriaEX: "While this shifts focus slightly from production itself, I'd be happy if things that couldn't use cloud AI due to compliance issues (like meeting minutes cleanup or contract proofreading) could be done in individual local environments. If we can process document transcription and handle non-creative parts that don't require much effort with low leak risk, I think we can ultimately improve the quality of deliverables."

ATkeynote: "During this production, I threw everything I could think of at AI, from requirements that absolutely had to be met to flash ideas, and I was impressed that it summarized key points better than expected, making subsequent drawing processes proceed without waste. It even proposes specific expression examples, so I immediately adopt interesting ones... This interactive exchange with AI really boosted production. Beyond production-related matters, I also have AI listen to daily complaints and trivial emotions, so for intuitive people like me, AI is a reliable presence that helps organize my chaotic thoughts clearly. For future AI, I hope it can understand human context more deeply, and it would be more fun if we could communicate while creating with them taking more established 'character' forms with preferred personalities, visuals, and voices."

orange: "What I'm most looking forward to is real-time translation! In the VR world, we meet people from overseas very often. I always use automatic translators for conversation, but current ones still have issues with speed and accuracy. It's such a waste that we can't collaborate smoothly due to language barriers when we're living in a space where we can easily meet creators from around the world! I want to break down language barriers with AI power!"

Intel continues to support the world of PC-based creation by developing SoCs with powerful built-in NPUs and other technologies.
