Now in its 14th edition, Virtual Market 2025 Summer welcomed a record-breaking 1.35 million visitors online. In addition, the real-world event VketReal 2025 Summer, held in Akihabara on July 26–27, drew 50,000 attendees, making it a major success both virtually and in person!
Vket 2025 Summer saw more new and female users than ever, with social media buzz, user-led events, and creator collaborations driving record co-creation and diverse metaverse experiences beyond traditional booths.
1.35 Million+ Attendees as New and Female Users Surge

At Virtual Market 2025 Summer, the VR exhibition featured two corporate venues : Parareal Tokyo and Parareal Hawaii, alongside 14 general exhibition halls, including six “PC World” concepts (12 worlds total) and one “Cross-Platform World” concept (2 worlds). The event welcomed over 1.35 million visitors during its run, marking the highest attendance since its launch in 2018.

Exhibitors reported sales in the tens of millions of yen, with some booths receiving over 30,000 survey responses!
Corporate booths blended immersive metaverse experiences with real-world tie-ins, driving strong results. Some companies achieved sales exceeding tens of millions of yen. While collecting over 10,000 survey responses per booth, with a peak of more than 30,000.
Vket generated 10–100 times more survey responses than typical trade shows, driven by the immersive metaverse experience and seamless post-interaction feedback. The insights are helping companies refine products and develop new initiatives.
In addition, social media campaigns and streaming collaborations amplified buzz, giving rise to numerous new marketing success stories driven naturally by user voices of “enjoy, grow, and reach.”

Co-Creation Events by Companies and Communities Gain Momentum!
This year, companies, creators, and users teamed up to deliver interactive experiences beyond traditional booths, bringing to life HIKKY’s vision of “connecting businesses and communities.”
By deepening dialogue between companies, municipalities, and visitors, the event showcased how the metaverse can unlock new dimensions of co-creation.

Showcased live-action 3D VR videos created in collaboration with popular creators and hosted a talk show where they discussed the appeal of 3D video production.
Takashimaya Co., Ltd.
Takashimaya Co., Ltd. held a special customer service event with company employees appearing as avatars, allowing users to receive services and purchase products directly through their online store.
City of Hamamatsu, Shizuoka
City staff joined as avatars and held a brainstorming session with visitors to co-create ideas for future Hamamatsu booths.
Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd.
Hosted a virtual eBike (sports electric-assist bicycle) racing event, awarding exclusive merchandise to the winner and top finishers.
KEEN Japan GK
Collaborated with the VR camping community Virtual Campers to host a virtual shoe try-on event led by camping enthusiasts.
Largest-Ever Wave of User-Created Events and Content!
At this Vket, user- and creator-led activities reached record scale, with social media mentions up 1.7× from the previous event and over 500 community events announced on the official site. Participants actively hosted their own events and posts, with related keywords frequently trending on X (formerly Twitter).
Creator exhibition booths also saw rising visitor numbers. Works submitted through the lottery system attracted large crowds, with creators’ passion to “be seen” drawing in attendees, sometimes even surpassing traffic to corporate booths in general worlds.
The number of Grand Masters who cleared all 14 venue challenges doubled from 908 to 1,808, highlighting Vket’s growing core fan base.
As users explored the worlds and co-created the space with creators, companies, and visitors, this Vket achieved its highest level of excitement ever!
